Senior Financial Planner (5+ years experience)

Part time or full time position in Irvine, CA for financial planner with 5+ years experience preparing and presenting financial plans to wealth management clients.   We are a fee-only registered investment advisor acting only in the best interest of our clients – as fiduciaries.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning: work independently to develop and monitor client plans, as well as partner with other team members, frequently taking the lead on client matters
  • Special Projects: implement best practices in financial planning process and software tools.   This includes internal file and client activity monitoring
  • Ad Hoc analysis and research
  • Meet with prospective clients
  • Stay current with developments in all financial areas of expertise

Experience & Education Required

  • 5+ years in similar position
    • Developing and presenting financial plans to range of clients including high net worth clients
    • Cultivating client relationships
    • Demonstrating leadership
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ professional
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Desirable: CPA

Qualifications / Desired Traits

  • Experience with Money Guide Pro, Asset Map, Tamarac CRM, Excel
  • Work well independently
  • Build relationships with clients and internally
  • Clear and well thought out written communications
  • Detail oriented and follow-up consistently and promptly
  • Comfortable speaking occasionally in workshop type setting
